Pitfall #1 to a lawsuit against the Cowboys:
Agreeing to enter a probation, peace bond or any other legal arrangement
(aka. deals) for exchange of a criminal charge being withdrawn will almost
certainly work against anyone who wants to bring a lawsuit against Crown
or Police later on. So many lawyers want their clients take a deals, to plead
guilty, etc, so they can wrap up a case and get paid that it's sickening. I am
sure you've seen it happen to somebody you know or had it done to yourself.
I found the following paragragh online and I totally agree with it:
"It is becoming increasingly common for the court to force a person
who it has just found innocent or acquitted, to enter a peace bond.
This outrageous violation of simple justice allows the court to then
acknowledge reasonable doubt in the crown's case against the accused
person, while supposedly providing some protection to the alleged victim."
I personally say that they are more concerned with protecting themselves than anything else. Never again, will I ever take any deals or listen to lawyers who lie for their own gains at my expenses. You can all do what you want though.
I have much to add on this page it's not complete by a long shot.
